- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- Pinch ground nutmeg
- Pinch ground cloves
- Pinch salt
- 2 tbsp plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter (for topping)
- About 2 tbsp reduced cider (reserved from above)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your donut pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together apple cider and melted butter. Add sugar, egg, yogurt, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
- In another bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fill each cavity of the donut pan about two-thirds full with batter.
- Bake for about 10 minutes until golden brown; check doneness with a toothpick.
