  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 slices of turkey
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Flatten each chicken breast to about ½ inch thick using a meat mallet.
  3. Layer two slices of turkey and one slice of Swiss cheese on each breast, roll tightly, and secure with toothpicks.
  4. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs mixed with milk, and breadcrumbs seasoned with garlic powder.
  5. Coat each chicken roll in flour, dip in egg mixture, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and brown the rolls on all sides for about 4–5 minutes each.
  7. Transfer the rolls to a baking dish and bake for 20–25 minutes until cooked through (165°F/75°C).
  8. For the sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, gradually add milk, then stir in Swiss cheese until smooth.
