  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into 1” pieces
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Flour, for dredging
  • 3 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ⅔ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup full-fat sour cream


Instructions

  1. Season the chicken pieces with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and dredge in flour.
  2. In a hot skillet, heat olive oil and sear the chicken until browned on all sides. Remove from the pan.
  3. In the same pan, add butter and sauté onions and mushrooms until soft.
  4. Stir in Dijon mustard and minced garlic; cook briefly to enhance flavors.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and return the chicken to the pan; cook for an additional two minutes.
  6. Finally, stir in sour cream over low heat until warmed through without boiling. Serve immediately.
