  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 teaspoons Italian seasonings
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 10 whole cloves garlic
  • 2 ½ cups chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Salt/Pepper
  • ⅓ cup flour
  • 1 beef bouillon cube (or 1 tsp better than bouillon)
  • 1 teaspoon low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon EACH: Dried thyme, mustard powder
  • 3 tablespoons butter


Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasonings on both sides.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add seasoned chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic cloves until golden.
  4. Stir in flour and gradually whisk in chicken broth. Add bouillon cube, soy sauce, onion powder, thyme, and mustard powder; simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat, stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese (if using), then return chicken to skillet. Simmer for another 10 minutes.
  6. Serve hot over rice or pasta.
