Ingredients
- 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 3 teaspoons Italian seasonings
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 10 whole cloves garlic
- 2 ½ cups chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
- Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Salt/Pepper
- ⅓ cup flour
- 1 beef bouillon cube (or 1 tsp better than bouillon)
- 1 teaspoon low sodium soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon EACH: Dried thyme, mustard powder
- 3 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasonings on both sides.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add seasoned chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic cloves until golden.
- Stir in flour and gradually whisk in chicken broth. Add bouillon cube, soy sauce, onion powder, thyme, and mustard powder; simmer for 5 minutes.
- Reduce heat, stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese (if using), then return chicken to skillet. Simmer for another 10 minutes.
