  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 3 large ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a 9×5 loaf pan with non-stick spray and parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mash the bananas until smooth using a fork or potato masher.
  4. Whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until combined. Add mashed bananas, sour cream, and vanilla extract; mix well.
