  • 1 sheet all-butter puff pastry
  • 100 grams good quality chocolate (chopped dark chocolate or semi-sweet chips)
  • 1 whole egg (for egg wash)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Roll out the all-butter puff pastry on a lightly floured surface or unroll pre-rolled pastry onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Cut the pastry into triangles about 10 cm wide at the base and 20 cm tall.
  4. Place a small amount of chopped chocolate at the base of each triangle.
  5. Roll each triangle tightly from the base to the tip and tuck under slightly to secure.
  6. Beat the egg and apply an egg wash over each croissant using a pastry brush.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
