Ingredients

  • 1 pint strawberries
  • 1 cup water (for syrup)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tea bags (family size or 8 regular)
  • 8 cups water (divided)
  • Ice
  • Optional: Sliced lemon and strawberries for garnish


Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberry Syrup: Wash and cut strawberries into quarters. Boil strawberries with 1 cup water for 10-15 minutes. Strain out the pulp, mix in sugar, return to heat until dissolved, then cool.
  2. Brew Tea Concentrate: Boil half of the remaining water. Steep tea bags in boiling water for 5 minutes before removing them. Combine brewed tea with the rest of the cold water in a pitcher.
  3. Combine: Once cooled, stir the strawberry syrup into the brewed tea until well mixed.
  4. Serve: Fill glasses with ice and pour in the iced tea. Garnish with optional lemon slices or fresh strawberries.
