  • 2 large apples (chopped finely)
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar (for topping)
  • 1 Tbsp butter (for topping)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for topping)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (for topping)
  • 2 Tbsp butter (for glaze)
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup (for glaze)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon (for glaze)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 11×7 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter and sugars until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon; mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually fold in dry ingredients and finely chopped apples.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and prepare the topping by melting butter with brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a small saucepan.
  7. Drizzle topping over the batter and bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool before cutting into squares.
  8. For the maple glaze, whisk together melted butter, maple syrup, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon; drizzle over cooled blondies.
