- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp baking powder

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed and cold
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream, plus more for brushing
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup fresh peaches, diced
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1–3 Tbsp heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In another bowl, whisk together egg, heavy cream, sour cream, and vanilla extract.
- Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients and fold in diced peaches.
- On a floured surface, shape dough into a circle about 1 inch thick; cut into wedges.
- Place scones on a parchment-lined baking sheet; brush tops with cream.
- Bake for about 16 minutes until golden brown.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with vanilla and enough cream for desired consistency; drizzle over cooled scones.
