  • ½ cup brown sugar (packed)
  • ¼ cup crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch


Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for about 3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove chicken from skillet. In the same skillet, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, crushed pineapple, minced garlic, ground ginger, and sesame seeds; whisk to mix.
  4. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 3–4 minutes until thickened.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet to coat in the sauce.
