Ingredients
- 300g strawberries (about 10.5 oz)
- 50g sugar (1/4 cup)
- 35g cornstarch (1/3 cup)
- 140ml whipping cream (1/2 cup + 1 tbsp – dairy or plant-based)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Blend the strawberries, sugar, and cornstarch until smooth.
- Cook the mixture over medium heat, whisking constantly until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract if using.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
