  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup maraschino cherry juice
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon pure almond extract
  • 1 1/4 cups mini chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 container (8oz) Cool Whip
  • Hot fudge sauce for drizzling


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, milk, vegetable oil, cherry juice, egg whites, and almond extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips coated with flour.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 22 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Allow cooling for 10 minutes before poking holes all over the cake with a fork.
  6. Pour sweetened condensed milk over the warm cake to soak in.
  7. Spread Cool Whip on top and sprinkle with chopped maraschino cherries.
