  • 6 day-old croissants
  • 1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk (or almond milk)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup chopped hazelnuts (lightly toasted)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Tear the day-old croissants into bite-sized pieces and layer half in the greased dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
  4. Pour half of the custard mixture over the first layer of croissants, then add dollops of chocolate hazelnut spread and half the chopped hazelnuts.
  5. Repeat layering with remaining croissants, custard, chocolate hazelnut spread, and chopped hazelnuts.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown on top and set in the center.
