  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1½ cups whole milk
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp dried thyme
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley (chopped)


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cook chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through; set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add rice and chicken broth; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 18-20 minutes until rice is tender.
  4. In another pan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour until smooth; gradually add milk and chicken broth while whisking until thickened.
  5. Stir in garlic powder, thyme, cheddar cheese, and Parmesan until melted. Combine with cooked chicken and rice in the skillet.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
