  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 16 slices Swiss cheese
  • 225 g thinly sliced chicken
  • 125 g all-purpose flour
  • 100 g panko breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 480 mL milk
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Peanut oil or vegetable oil, for frying


Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Flatten the chicken between plastic wrap to about 1 cm thick.
  3. Layer each breast with Swiss cheese and sliced chicken; roll tightly.
  4. Refrigerate the rolls for 30 minutes to set.
  5. Heat oil in a tall-sided pan to 170°C.
  6. Dredge each roll in flour, then egg, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  7. Fry until golden brown on both sides (about 5 minutes each). Ensure internal temperature reaches 75°C.
  8. For the sauce: melt butter, sauté garlic, whisk in flour and gradually add milk until thickened; stir in Dijon mustard and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Slice the cooked rolls and drizzle with sauce before serving.
