Ingredients
- 2 pounds russet potatoes
- 1 pound ribeye steak or sirloin (or ground beef)
- 1 large onion
- 1 large green bell pepper
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Brown the beef, seasoned with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
- Slice onions and bell peppers thinly.
- Layer sliced potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker, followed by half of the cooked beef, half of the onions and peppers, and half of the shredded cheese. Repeat layers.
- In a separate bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce (if using). Pour over layered ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until potatoes are tender.
