Ingredients

  • 1 lb yakisoba or linguine noodles
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or fruit juice)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, chopped (optional garnish)


Instructions

  1. Cook noodles in a large pot of boiling water according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter and sauté garlic and ginger for about 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Whisk together soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, rice vinegar, and brown sugar in a small bowl; add to wok and bring to a simmer.
  4. Add cooked noodles to the wok; toss well to coat with the sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Drizzle sesame oil over the noodles, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and toss again.
  6. Serve hot topped with chopped green onions if desired.
