- 3/4 cup cold butter, cut into cubes
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, cold
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 4 ounces semi-sweet baking chocolate, chopped
- 1 1/8 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
- 3/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cake flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- In a stand mixer or using a hand mixer, cream the cold butter with light brown sugar and granulated sugar until creamy. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add in the dry ingredients along with the chopped chocolate and one cup of chocolate chips; mix until just combined.
- Use a large cookie scoop to portion out dough onto prepared sheets. Gently press remaining chocolate chips on top.
